Marty Schroeder

About the Author

Marty Schroeder was born November 11, 1954 to Alphonse and Angela (Klear) Schroeder.  He is the third oldest of eleven children.  His brothers include Father Roger Schroeder SVD, Denny, Karl and Roy.  His sisters are Gloria, Anne, Phyllis, Karen, Joan and Elaine.

He attended grade school at Sacred Heart Elementary School near New Bavaria, Ohio.  He was enrolled at Divine Word Seminary in Perrysburg, Ohio, during his freshman, sophomore and one-half of his junior years, before finishing his High School education at Miller City-New Cleveland High School, graduating in 1973.  He attended Real Estate Classes at Northwest Community College after graduating from high school and received his Real Estate salesman’s license in 1975 and his Real Estate Broker’s license in 1980.  He recently graduated from the Realtors Institute gaining him his G.R.I. designation.  Marty has also been a licensed auctioneer since 1975.

Marty and his wife Linda were married in 1978 and they have five children: Nicole, Eric, Noah, Matthew and Danielle.  Marty and Linda are members of New Cleveland Holy Family Catholic Church located just north of Ottawa, Ohio, in rural Putnam County.  They are both active in the Art and Environment Committee and the Baptismal Preparation Team.  They completed the World Marriage Encounter program 2005.

Most recently, Marty completed the Five-year Adult Formation Ministry Program offered by the Diocese of Toledo.  During this time, Marty was known for writing and conducting powerful Prayer Services for his fellow students.

Marty taught Fifth Grade Religious Formation for four years from 1993 to 1996. He is currently in his eleventh year of teaching Religious Formation to the freshmen from his parish.  He has also prepared and presented Prayer Services and he has worked closely with the Confirmation Preparation Committee that is responsible for preparing the young adults for the Catholic Sacrament of Confirmation.

Marty is a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He is also a member of the National, State and local board of Realtors.

This book, Five Inspirational Prayer Services, was started in 2003 and took nearly five years to complete.  He is currently working on Volume Two with a projected publish date of 2011 or 2013.
